Shavuah tov

We are now in a druze village learning about their culture. Shabat was peacefull and we rested after a week of hard work. We can feel that everyone is worried about the latest IDF activities and all our madrichim have close friends that are being called. Everyone is familly and being here at this moment is very meaningfull for all of us. We had some small schedule changes and all programs in Israel are carefully taken care by security. We are updating the blog from a mobile phone, so big texts and pictures are not possible now... This night we will sleep just outside Jerusalem. Shalom ve Shavuah Tov!

Happy New Year

Hi folks! We've been having some real busy days! The new year's eve party was amazing. We went to the coolest place in Tel Aviv. We partied until two in the morning and we have another full day of activities today. We are divided into three groups of 20 again to continue with our Tzedek activities! I'll try to upload some photos later...
We are all healthy and happy and want to wish our families a happy new year!

First Day - unbelievabel

This Business Break is an amazing project held by Hillel International. We are 62 people from Latin America, Former Soviet Union, Israel and United States. There 6 people staffing the group plus the a lot of Hillel and Havaya professionals
The program started today in an outstanding breakfast with 160 youngsters from Hillel Alternative Breaks, including the Law Group and the undergraduate group.
Afterwards we've splitted in the three groups with different assignments. Our group (A) went to a factory where most of the workers are blind and some are also deaf and mute. Group B and C went to see and participate in different NGO programs.
In the Hotel, at Shfayim, we had a lecture on Business in Israel held by Aaron Goldberg, Hillel's vice-president for the International Division. We had an amazing dinner at Shfayim and had some ice-breakers and reflection activities.
This is what we call building the next generation!
